Catholic Charities of Southern New Mexico St. Nicholas Ball a community celebration and fundraiser in support of our organization. This special event marks the beginning of a tradition—one we hope will grow each year as we gather with friends, neighbors, and supporters to uplift the work of Catholic Charities in its entirety.
Proceeds will directly strengthen our mission to serve the most vulnerable in our community with compassion, dignity, and hope. Together, we can continue to open doors, change lives, and build a more caring, connected future for all. Thank you for being part of this meaningful beginning. With your support, we plant the seeds of hope, compassion, and connection that will grow for years to come—because with big hearts, we build bright futures in one united community.

Who is St. Nicholas?
St. Nicholas, whose feast day is celebrated on December 6th, was a Christian bishop of Myra in Asia Minor during the Roman Empire. Known for his compassion and generosity, he cared deeply for the poor and children, often giving aid in secret. His legacy of kindness and gift-giving inspired centuries of traditions, eventually evolving into the beloved figure of Santa Claus, or "St. Nick."
Nicholas is honored as the patron saint of children, sailors, students, and the vulnerable - making this celebration in his name a fitting tribute to Catholic Charities' mission of service.
