Habemus Papam – Welcome, Pope Leo XIV!

With hearts full of gratitude and hope, we celebrate the election of Pope Leo XIV, the 266th successor of St. Peter and the first American ever to serve as Holy Father. His historic election marks a new chapter for the Church—one rooted in faith, unity, and a renewed call to evangelize with love and courage.

In his first public words, Pope Leo XIV spoke of peace, reconciliation, and trust in God—a message our world longs to hear. His deep connection to the spiritual tradition of St. Augustine reminds us that even the most restless hearts can find rest in God’s truth.

As a Catholic institution dedicated to forming minds and hearts, we are inspired by the vision and humility Pope Leo XIV brings to this sacred office. We pledge our prayers and support as he shepherds the Church through the challenges and opportunities of our time.
